The 143-102 Mechanical Caliper-Type Micrometer delivers precise measurements on recessed features which regular micrometers are unable to achieve. The micrometer features jaws constructed of hardened steel with carbide measuring surfaces and a hardened steel spindle to take precise measurements on recessed features.

The micrometer’s ratchet stop mechanism provides a constant measuring force on the spindle to ensure accurate, repeatable measurements. The combination of the ratchet thimble and speeder enables a rapid spindle feed when measuring extensive dimensions. Easy one-handed measurements can be achieved.
